Cancer Proteomics Shared Resource (CPSR) The Cancer Proteomics Shared Resource (CPSR) at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center provides advanced mass‑spectrometry–based proteomics to support basic, translational, and clinical cancer research. CPSR partners with investigators to deliver high‑quality, quantitative proteomic data using state‑of‑the‑art instrumentation and rigorous established workflows. Our goal is to enable impactful cancer research by providing reliable proteomics services, expert guidance, and modern analytical capabilities in a sustainable and accessible shared resource environment. |
Gel Band Protein Identification
Protein identification from excised gel bands (or gel plugs) with high‑confidence peptide sequencing. Workflows can include analysis of post‑translational modifications when relevant.
Cross‑Linking Mass Spectrometry
Mass‑spectrometry–cleavable cross‑linking workflows (e.g., DSSO) to study protein–protein interactions and structural proximity within protein complexes, supported by advanced data analysis pipelines.
Immunoprecipitation and Pulldown Proteomics
Quantitative analysis of protein–protein interactions using immunoprecipitation or affinity‑based pulldown strategies. Experiments may be performed using TMT‑based multiplexing or label‑free DIA/DDA approaches.
Whole cell (and primary tumor organids) protein quantitation and PTM Analysis
Comprehensive protein quantitation from whole‑cell lysates using TMT or DIA workflows. CPSR also supports global analysis of post‑translational modifications, including phosphorylation, and acetylation to interrogate signaling pathways and regulatory mechanisms.
CPSR offers weekly Open Consultation Hours (Office Hours) for investigators who would like to discuss potential projects, experimental design considerations, or workflow selection.
These sessions provide an opportunity to connect directly with CPSR leadership prior to submitting a service request and help ensure that projects are well matched to available proteomics workflows.
All CPSR services are requested and managed through iLab. Investigators are encouraged to attend Open Consultation Hours when planning new studies, but formal service requests must be submitted through iLab before samples are accepted.
